The Clinton Creek area of the territory was not glaciated during the Pleistocene ice ages. Archive - DC-3 at Clinton Creek

DC-3s made four trips to Clinton Creek each week while the mine operated. The airstrip was
4,600 ft long and 150 ft wide and remains one of the largest in Yukon.

The type of asbestos that is found at Clinton Creek is white asbestos also known as chrysotile.
The Clinton Creek asbestos ore comes from serpentinite rocks, a rock similar to jade.

In 1969, the pay scale for a mine worker at Clinton Creek was between $3.10 and $4.36 per hour. Room and board was supplied at a cost of $2.75 per day to the worker.

Hudgeon Lake was named after a Clinton Creek mine foreman, Don Hudgeon.

At the time of operation, the Clinton mill was the tallest building in the territory at 102 ft. (30.6 meters). It was covered with corrugated, asbestos shell siding. This is not the kind of building material you use these days.

The average number of employees at the Clinton Creek mine was 290.

The mine produced 3,300 tons of ore each day.
