What is the Agricultural Land Link?

The Yukon Agriculture Land Link is a pilot project that connects landowners wanting to better utilize their farmland and those seeking land to start or expand a farm enterprise.

How this service will help new farmers:

Provides you an entry-level alternative to buying land
Offers a chance to gain farming experience
Helps establish a business track record

How this service might benefit land owners:

Chance to improve land utilization
May increase the value of your farm land
Provide an income stream

Roles

We put landowners in contact with those looking to access agricultural land. You (both parties) are responsible to communicate and agree on the details of your arrangement. You have to register for the service to access the information.

New Farmer Registration

Please include the following details:

Outline your experience and willingness to farm;
What is your general farm plan; and
Indicate land and equipment needs

Land Owner Registration

Please include the following details:

What kind of arrangement are you interested in? (ie. leasing, partnerships, mentoring...);
Farm description: include current state, soil types, infrastructure and equipment available; and
Available acreage (can range from small piece of land to the majority of your property)
