Meat Inspections

The Yukon government provides meat inspection services at two territorial licensed facilities. One is located at Partridge Creek and the other is a mobile abattoir facility located in the southern Yukon. The mobile abattoir provides on-farm slaughter service, for producers and businesses that are interested in using the services of this unit they should first contact Kevin Bowers at the Agriculture Branch 867.667.5838.  The mobile abattoir will help Yukon livestock producers gain access to retail Yukon markets. The mobile abattoir began operations on southern Yukon farms in September 2006.
