Find a timber harvest plan for Mayo

Timber harvest plans help ensure the sustainable use of forests. These plans cover landscape units ranging from 5,000 hectares to around 300,000 hectares. These identify:

  • areas proposed for forest resource harvesting;
  • where and how timber will be removed; and
  • strategies for minimizing or removing negative environmental impacts on other natural resources.

McQuesten timber harvest plan

Description:

This timber harvest plan area is between the Stewart and McQuesten rivers northwest of Keno. The area covers 712,357 hectares and includes about 29,075,500 cubic metres of coniferous and deciduous trees. (2,652.52 KB)

Partridge Creek timber harvest plan

Description:

This timber harvest plan area is north of Stewart Crossing. It's on the east side of the Klondike Highway between the McQuesten River and Partridge Creek. The plan covers 3,844 hectares with a gross timber volume in excess of 90,000 cubic metres. (1,736.54 KB)
