Rezone Lot 1178, Quad 105 D/10, Plan 2006-0132 LTO to allow for four staff accommodations as an accessory use.

Lot 1178 is a 65 hectare property which is currently zoned Rural Agricultural 2 (AG-2) under the Golden Horn Development Area Regulation. The principle use of this property is agriculture (ie: hay and oat production) and a range of accessory uses are permitted including four dwelling units, bed and breakfast lodging, home based business, and agricultural tourism.

The property owners operate a tourism venture called Northern Lights Resort and SPA providing overnight accommodations, health and wellness services, and tour packages.

The purpose of the rezoning is to allow for staff accommodations to support the tourism venture. The applicant is proposing to renovate an existing garage to accommodate four staff accommodation units.
