New regulation streamlines rezoning applications for rural Yukoners
A new regulation under the Area Development Act has streamlined the rezoning application process for landowners in rural Yukon. While the public consultation and review process remains the same, rezoning decisions that previously required an order in council can now be completed through a ministerial order if they're within established zoning regulations.
Quarry Permits for Designated
Quarry Permits for granular material from designated public pits can be acquired from your local Client Services & Inspections District Office. Yukon residents are eligible for up to 35 cubic metres of material for personal use at no charge.
Land Application Appeal Process
A guide is now available to help applicants and other parties better understand the land application appeal process. The guide describes grounds for appeal, the levels of appeal through branch personnel, and defines timelines for appeal submissions and departmental response.
