Fuel Storage Area

A specialized area for the storage of fuel, lubricants and sometimes dangerous goods is required. This type of site may be co-located with other areas such as a maintenance area. Given the quantities of fuel that may have to be kept on the site, special operational conditions may be required.

Activities on this type of site will include not only preparation of the site and storage of fuels, but also transference and fuelling of equipment.

Location and design of the site are of great importance as containment and access are key issues.
